the building shots were taken a couple of weeks ago, while walking down town... i love old buildings! & in the one of me, i am wearing a new scarf that i just finished knitting, which will be added to my shop soon, along with a few other things that i have been working on lately! i am so happy knitting season is here! :)

instax mini of me & my sister at water world, last weekend!! so fun!!

i am so excited!! last weekend i took a waterproof camera with me to water world & i should be getting the pictures back today... i can't wait to pick them up! i hope they turned out better than last years... i think they did! there is something so fun about waiting to get film back!

also... this is the last big weekend of the summer!! yay!! i can't believe it's already here... 

tonight i am going to the fair. tomorrow i am going to a hot air balloon festival (see last years). sunday i am going to church & resting. & monday i am going to a picnic at the park for labor day & my brother's birthday! whew!! so much going on! after this weekend, i think i will be officially ready for fall to arrive! :)

{over the weekend} mountains...

Sunday, after church, we drove up to the mountains for the afternoon! There is just something so amazing about fresh mountain air... it was cool & wet from rain & it smelled 

so good. We had a little picnic & walked around the lake. I love being by the water on a 

summer day! Such a fun day! :)

lately...

this week i have finally gotten back into playing tennis! yay! it's one of my favorite ways to get a workout in, because it's actually really fun!!!

it is summer time!!

on friday, we went to the drive-in (packing up our blankets, camping chairs, & of course, our favorite candies!) to see kung fu panda & the new pirates movie.... it was a lot of fun & both movies were good! i love to go to the drive-in, hopefully it will happen often throughout the summer!

saturday was the anniversary of the day that my beautiful aunt passed away (6 years ago). we wanted to do something special, as we thought of her... & because she loved dr.pepper, we had to get some! i try not to drink it too often, but i love dr. pepper too, especially in the cute glass bottles!! :)

starting a fire & roasting marshmallows is a perfect summer treat!

this happen twice over the weekend. ha!

the 90 degree weather we've been having called for

my sister & i to give our dog a much needed bath...

she really hates getting baths!!

later we had to take her on a walk, so that she would like us again, because that is her favorite thing in the world. she gets so excited when she sees our tennis shoes & her leash!! (funny doggie...)

weekend in denver...

on friday night, my mom, sister & i had to pick up a friend at the denver airport (really late), so we went up to denver early to eat at maggiano's for dinner! i always love the atmosphere of italian restaurants... while we waited for our table, we listened to the old music play & looked at the old photos on the walls...

i ordered chicken & spinach manicotti

& we all got tiramisu to share... yumm!

on saturday, we headed to denver again for a ROCKIES game!!! yay!!!
it was cold, windy, & a bit rainy... BUT the rockies won 15 to 4!!!!
so it was a great game & we had a blast!

i finally made it home today! yay!! the trip went really well... God really protected us!! & i am so happy because i finally got to stop and take photos of the "welcome to colorful colorado" sign! (something i have always wanted to do...) i really love where i live!!! :) & even though i am so sad that vacation is over, there is nothing quite like being home...

tomorrow i go back to work... boo.

but i will post more photos from my trip very soon...

there are so many of them that i can't wait to share!

birthday weekend...

one of my favorite things about when my birthday comes around is that the lilacs are in beautiful bloom!!! of course, i have been snapping so many shots of them lately. i love to cut some & bring them inside... they are so pretty & they fill the room with their amazing scent!!

on saturday, my mom & sister took me out to lunch for my birthday! we went to one of my favorite restaurants called, bambino's!! they have a really great thin-crust pizza buffet... yumm!!

also, we went shopping & they spoiled me so much...
& they made me an amazing coconut cake (one of my favorites)!!
i am so blessed to have them in my life...
i love them so much!!

today i am thinking about what Good Friday means...

it's the day for us to remember that Christ paid the price for us.

He suffered pain, because of the sin of the world... because of our sin.

& it was all because of His great love, that we can be saved!

no one in this world, other than Jesus, can offer that kind of love!

today, i am so thankful that i am saved!!
