i ♥ my new 50mm lens!!

it was a pretty quite & restful weekend for me...

so, there is not much to share, other than these recent photos.

oh & i have to share that i have basically watched "i love lucy" all.weekend.long.

it's a cheesy soup, with homemade noodles, potatoes & little smokies.

it's not too healthy... but i did make it with skim milk.

& i don't make it very often... so it's okay! :)

i got to meet my cousin's sweet little baby girl, for the first time!!

yay!!!!
she is 4 months old & such a cutie...

my grandma made the dolly for her! cute!!

we had so much fun passing her around & getting to know her!

they live in california, so it was pretty special to spend this time with them...

this weekend, my sister & i went to see one of our friends... her & her husband have a 2-year-old daughter & they are about to have another little girl, very soon... yay! i love taking photos of their little girl, she is so cute... & i can't wait to take some newborn photos when the baby arrives! :)

the weather was so perfect! we just enjoyed the outside for a while!

we even saw the first sign of spring coming...

 we also went to the yarn shop & i got some pretty new colors for spring! yay!!

i never want to forget to be thankful for all that God has blessed me with...
so, i thought i would join in with the weekly gratitude

& share some of the things that i have been thankful for lately...

i am thankful for the Bible study that i am doing right now! we are learning about living lives of integrity for Christ! & how it's so important to keep our focus on Him, even as this world often tries to bring us down. it's a study of the book of daniel. i am loving it!

i am thankful that the weather has been so beautiful this past week... it's so nice just to get outside & feel the fresh air! take my doggie for a walk. & of course to take photos... i love nice days in february!

i am thankful that my brother got a job today!! & it seems like it will be the perfect job for him! yay!!

i am thankful for 50% off valentine candy! yumm.

i am thankful for my camera & for my 365 photo-a-day challenge! i have had fun & i can say that i like most of the photos that i have taken, so far...

i am thankful that it is finally the weekend! BIG YAY!!!

sugar cookie love...

yesterday, i made heart-shaped sugar cookies, for a little valentine party that me & my sister are doing for the kids in my church! the kids will get to frost & decorate their own cookies! fun!! also, we are going to watch "be my valentine, charlie brown"... oh, i love charlie brown, so cute!! :) the party is tonight... it should be a lot of fun!! hopefully not too chaotic...

anyway, i love making sugar cookies...
& heart-shaped ones are even better!

so far, it has been a success!! it's only been 16 days, but every day i have managed to take a photo & post it on my flickr & it's been fun! 

so here is a little glimpse of my life lately, through my photos...

my breakfast for the last two days: peanut butter & bananas on whole wheat toast. yumm.

one of the books i am currently reading is a biography about audrey hepburn. i love her! :)
